These are good! Maybe you could convert to black & white? That might make them "match" better. :) Either way- these are wonderful. I reallylike the 2nd one.

Whereas I really like the interaction between you son and his environment in the last one! This is a winner for me!

    Two can play that game!

    photoshop-20070916-205516.jpg

    1) Change mode to LAB
    2) invert the curves on a and b, but make them not completely steep (see grabs below).
    3) Change blending blending options so that it only applies to the underlying layer when it's blue.

    The curves:

    And the blending options:

Showoff with your fancy screen captures and Lab color :devbobo. All I did was:
    • Selective color on the hat
    • with the hat selected, new Hue Saturation Layer, Saturation to -100
    • with the hat selected Photo Filter layer, cutom color picked from his sweater
    • Done
Although if you look close I could have spent more than 2 seconds on the selection, the top is a little off yelrotflmao.gif.

I guess this is a little more difficult than it looks. I don't have photoshop but I tried to figure out how to duplicate the basic steps in Gimp, which I do have. No luck...but then again, I don't understand the more advanced features of Gimp or Photoshop. I think Gimp has many of the Photoshop features...but I have never really dug in too deep into doing these sort of edits. If anyone uses Gimp and can provide the basic steps to make the color change in there, I can run with that.

Trying to use Nikon Capture NX hasn't fixed me up yet either. I thought with the color control point technology in NX, it might be even easier using that, but so far no luck.
