I have a few special photos that I would like to submit to various magazines, it's my frist time so I have an elementary question. When sending unsolicited samples via mail, what print size is the standard?

I'd imagine 4x6...that seems to be the universal standard these days - personally I think 5x7 should be...but oh well.

I just searched on google for something, maybe that will help you a bit?

    good luck!

perfect, thanks ross. I had come across that article also and others but had not found any guidance for print sizes, only digital files.

In reality you truly need to send a letter of inquiry to the magazines and/or check the newest edition of "The Photographers Market" to see if the pubs are listed and will even consider unsolicited material.......TPM will also answer your question on file size requirements for submissions.
