I don't like KC Photography for two reasons: 1) Sounds like you're in Kansas City...and 2) KC is a masculine name...and, especially for child photography, having a 'mother's eye' is an advantage. Don't lose it.

If you are specializing in child's photography let me ask you one question?

Will the appointment and wanting the session be mother or father driven?

My bet is that 99.99% of your busines will be driven by the mother.
Thus, why not use a name that will "attract" those customers.....mothers.

Gary was right on and maybe it was not recognized.......how about....

I decided to go with Katherine Lynn Photography, but am still throwing some "kid/mother friendly" names around. I figure I could always use both depending on the market I'm going for.

I confess I haven't read the entire thread, but it seems to me your username --Stella Bella-- sounds like a simple lovely, memorable, "experiential" name for a photography business.

I agree. I think that is what its going to be. Stella is my daughters name and the main reason I started thinking I wanted to do photography as a business. I just couldn't pass up recording every moment.
