... but the fog patches is what sells it for me.
Great job and looking forward to some more after you have had a chance to process them.

I lived in Idaho for 21 years before moving back to Florida.
People really don't understand how picturesque a place it really is.
I miss Idaho and places like this are why.

I am plotting an escape, however!
Nice image though. Did you shoot one with a polarizer too (I'd be curious what it would do to the water)?
And I know all about the fog up there-- my first job out of college was at Redfish Lake working on the boat docks. There were a couple of mornings I'd drive the hiking shuttle boat across the lake and couldn't see where I was headed... kind of scary now but at the time I was a lot younger and more fearless. Amazing mountain biking around there too!

I am new to Idaho (Star) but can't get enough of what she has to offer. I use to have to drive 6-8 hours to shoot in the Sierras (with the crowds) and now it's all in my backyard (minus the crowds).
I did have a question...Where are the best spots for fall colors?

Hey Pete, No your eyes are straight. I missed that sloping off to the left thing. Dang It!. Actually this is with the polarizer on and rotated to maximize visability into the water.

Thanks Todd. You will love Idaho. Fall colors are already coming on north of Sun Valley as you drive towards Stanley over the Galena Pass. I am very partial to Grand Teton in the fall. It's only 6 or 7 hours away and makes a great Combo with Yellowstone. Go before the 10th of October or winter will beat you there. I am going next week.

Packing for Yellowstone and Grand Teton but I'll leave you a key when I split . I'm using either a 18mm F2.8 or an 18-200 VR (the VR @ 20mm on above shot @ f22 1/6sec w/polarizer). Happy shooting:D
