I apologize for not posting any pictures, just got back, still uploading. Will post some pics soon. In the mean time just wanted to share the experience.
What an awesome event!:clap
We had a great time and learned a whole lot. The "dynamic duo", Shay and Jen, opened the whole world of wedding photography for us, showed us the ins and outs. As planned, they have covered all the aspects of the business, from A to Z. And it was not some dull class, where you'd sit and listen. Everybody was actively engaging into the discussions, sharing theit own problems and experience, thus making the whole thing even more useful.
And, of course, the was the whole Wedding Day, when we all get a chance to choot first a ceremony in the beautiful St.Francis chapel, and then "formals" in even more beautiful Balboa park. In fact, to add a spice, we all even got a chance to play a role of the officiant, so we could actually observe the whole action from his/her position.
Weather was great, "bride" and ger dress were gorgeous, "groom" was fun - we had a greatest time - and tons of nice portfolio material.
I'll be posting more, and I'm sure so will the reast of the class. Stay tuned!

Yes, there was a lot to do, learn and see but not so much that it was overwhelming. My images are beyond what I ever expected.
I have taken a number of workshops; this was incredible - the best of those I've experienced. Jen and Shay were totally open, honest and completely knowledgable. They planned this out to the nth degree and never once did I feel that any thing was over my level or below either. It's not all about only weddings either....it's slanted to weddings, but anyone with an interest in portraits, workflow or the business of photography could benefit from the workshop. All I can say is WOW.
Thank you Shay and Jen for a life changing experience - and a lot of laughs and fun. To my fellow dgrinners who spent the last 4-5 days with me, thank you for sharing your time with me - we had such a great group, huh?

I made this for Cover Girl WA, so I apologize for the cross posting, but I thought it's OK to bring it here, since it has some inside jokes, too.
