Need some opinions on my first draft business card. I'm going for simple and straightforward. Not sure that I like using the same font throughout. Its also a little redundant, but I'm not sure how to get around that. Tell me if it just doesn't work. My heart is not set on this...
Sorry
Sorry to say it does nothing for me. Simple is good but that's a little too simple. Your a photographer (visual arts), and your card is going to say a lot to people who receive it. I also, really, really, really don't like the font. To me it says, "i'm not a professional". Try something timeless like garmond. Just my 2 cents.

Since you're a kid photographer (for now) I would recommend a fun little design similar to Design Aglow's Modern christmas card templates and have them be colorful and then put your information over them. I don't DISLIKE the font...I just don't like it on that background. like Rustinginpeace said - it's a little TOO simple....try for some color and then let us see!

I have no idea what the design is on the front, and I do think that it's not graphically interesting enough. You could just lose it, however, and the simplicity of the card would be nice, IMO. Just as is, without the graphic element.
The design on the front seems arbitrary and doesn't make sense...I'd lose it.
I really like the minimalist design, but the low contrast gray color is not helping here. Try using one punchy color (fuschia! lime green!) or at the VERY least, solid black for some contrast. Also, I do like the font, but I think choosing a secondary complimentary font is more professional and purposeful, visually. What you have here is a decorative font, so choose a sans serif or a serifed font that looks nice (as opposed to a second decorative or script font.)
You might find this book very useful. You're SO close!! Great start!
Something else just occured to me...If you're going the black and white route for cost savings, try VistaPrint, their four color digital process cards are much cheaper than a monochrome card printed at a local press, and lots of folks here are satisfied with the quality (me included!)
