Hehe...more like Peregrine Falcon and possible menu selections! That is a cool angle on the falcon, reminds me of a plane taking off. Very nice Kingfisher, I don't see too many good shots of them. (Now watch everyone whip out their best!) I did not realize we had chickadees in our area. Can't say that I have ever seen one. Nice action and reflection on the gull. Surprisingly my favorite is the little sparrow! But I think it has more to do with the setting and the light...I like the shells in the rock. :D

Man, that first one made my heart go pitter-patter. Did you get any more of that guy?

The rest of these shots aren't too shabby either. mwink.gif

Thanks Joel! Got a number of photos of her (think it's a she as she was a big bird) sitting on a branch. After awhile she took off for dinner.

I'd love to see 'em, Glenn.

BTW, the rest of this series is really stunning, all joking aside.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

I must say your Peregrin has a whole lot more dark spots than those we get here (even in the juv phase).

What great action you caught with that peregrine! The second peregrine series is just outstanding. They are all very perches and poses. I really like the kingfisher BIF, clean and sharp! The gull looks like it is walking on water. All the great action almost makes your very nice sparrow shot seem mundane. mwink.gif

Thanks Ric! Skittish and usually see you before you see them! She buzzed the peregrine and that was how I managed to get a shot!

Hi Glenn.. Great captures. Outstanding Peregrine shots (all of them). I see it is banded too. The Kingfisher is also excellent. Both birds are tough shots to get..clap.gifclap.gif

There's a Peregrine where I shoot at the lake and they are incredible to watch. It's hard to follow them just watching let along keeping the camera on target. I saw one grab a small bird out of the sky and then drop it in the water. It slammed on the brakes in mid air and dove straight down almost catching it before it hit the water.

Thanks Chris! Even fairly large birds become nervous around a Peregrine! I think doves, and pigeons are a favourite, and that's why Pigeon breeders hunt and kill Peregrine's even though they are still under federal protection.
