Went to the Baltimore Zoo yesterday...
Went to the Baltimore Zoo yesterday to sort of reground myself and spend some quiet time with nature as best as one can find it in the city...
Here are some of my favorite photos from This Set
The one of the falcon, the keeper actually took her off her perch and brought her too me. I shot that with my broken lens. wide/macro, manual focus. So amazing to be that close to these animals. I was right next to that cheetah, he was all drugged out from medical procedures earlier in the morning.
Now I really want to go to Africa...
PS.. I know the owl looks like the internet meme "ORly?" Google it if you didn't know. lol

These are some very nice animal portraits, the hawk especially. I haven't been to the Baltimore Zoo since before the renovation - was it worth the wait?

It's the renovation isn't done yet, I guess. This is the only time I've ever seen it and they're making some sort of new feeding area for the giraffes. I dunno. I just needed to get away and that's where I went on a whim.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
