These guys posed nicely for me in a patch of really nice light

Then, another pair started calling from nearby, and these went ballistic

What a series. Very nice action of an unusual bird. I have a picture of Jackson's Hornbill from the local zoo, but how lucky you are to have access to such wildlife in SA.

:D Thanks Ric. Dunno offhand what the tree is, but it would be some kind of acacia.

Thanks Jeff! [glad you're doing your homework :D] The Bateleur is on my hit list - you can be assured when I get a decent one, I'll put it up.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Thanksh Glenn :D It was nice that they didn't fly off - this was taken at 116mm *and* they gave me time to flip the camera, not to mention the displays.
