New to bird photography
I am pretty new to photographing birds in the wild as a serious part of my photograhy. Not to say I have shot them before but have never gone out specifically to shoot one bird and waited a few hours to catch it, "just right" I did that last week and had a blast I have to say and could get hooked on this. I used my Sigma f2.8 70-200mm with a 2X's converter attached. Now I know it isn't the sharpest combination around but it fits into my budget just now. But I think this shot shows you can get reasonable results with it , enough to get you out trying again. Remembering this guy isn't much bigger than your common sparrow.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
REALLY< Harry?? <img src="https://us.v-cdn.net/6029383/emoji/headscratch.gif" border="0" alt="" > Why is it I don't believe you?? Or are you saying you aren't hooked yet?:D

I am just having a look through one of your smugmug albums Stephen. Some beautiful butterfly shots in there. One thing I miss here is the amount of butterflies we used to get. Maybe its this 7 years of drought, not sure but most seem to have disapeared.
