Having recently bought the Canon 100mm Macro lens I have to say I have been having a blast with it lately. Took me a while to get going on insects but with the help of a local experienced photographer I have come up with some shots I like for a first try. Tell me what you think.

Oooops how right you are. I had another look and there it is. "Holy Macro"! Well I must not have gotten past the "Holy" Bit the first time I read through and missed the word macro.

Wonderful damp bug shots - must have been an early morning shoot ?
Love the butterfly and dragonfly :)

    Thanks Brian,
Yes up and out early before the sun has time to warm them up. Is nice to watch them thaw out, clean their eyes before warming up enough to fly off.
The benifit is they don't move much while you set up and get focused etc.
    Thanks for your comments.
