Global Mala (Yoga) photos
Hello,
The Global Mala project is this weekend and I was asked to photograph a yoga workshop for my friends yesterday. The lighting was quite difficult, with the overall dimness compounded by multiple color temperatures coming in from the windows and incandescent lights. (At least they left the fluorescents off!) I was asked to keep flash use to a minimum though it wasn't forbidden. I wound up shooting mostly with my 50/1.8 and 35/2 around 1/60th at f/2.8 and ISO 3200 on the 30D. Once in a while, I'd try some bounce flash.
Here are a few from the shoot.
1. A portrait. Tight compositions seemed to work best.
2. Quick group shot. Swapped to a 17-40/4L that I borrowed and bounce flash (obviously). Could probably have benefited from a lightsphere.
3. Experimenting with position, and using some bounce flash.
4. Another close-up
You can see those and more on my SM site. I would love to hear any feedback and suggestions for improvement. Thanks for looking!
