    Love it
A great capture. Is this formation specifically named "Eagle Spirit" or did you notice the formation and title the picture this? Oh and where is it?

    Regards,

    Mike

I would like to know to where this was taken to. Did you just come upon it or did you go there to take this picture? As I always say there is a photographers story to go with the picture. It is a beautiful picture and you did capture it well. thumb.gif

Beautiful capture! The rock formation is very nice but to me what really sets it off is the background. Well done.thumb.gif

A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort.

    Thank you everyone.

Originally, I was heading out to a spot about 5 miles away from this one. I had been to this formation before but thought to check the backside of it.

I had shot this unamed formation about 20 minutes earlier- Nothing spectacular. I wandered around to see if I could catch something as the light was getting good. Again, nothing spectacular. Finished my circling and looked up- It was like being slapped on the head.

Gorgeous! The light on that rock is beautiful.

Mojave, huh? Has it cooled down enough yet? I had thought to give it a few more weeks before heading out that way.

Thank you. The weather has been nearly perfect up here the last two weeks. I missed the first two days of the storm passing over and caught the third.

I think it looks more like a Bear then an Eagle, but that is just me! Great Shot. I am putting this on my list of places to visit.
