I made it out to the Getty, it rained just before and the sky is full of big fluffy clouds and the air is so clear, you can see very far without any haze. Both which are somewhat of a rarity in Southern California.

The lighting was good on some parts but when it got hazy, I noticed a loss of contrast that I don't like with hazy sky. But we kept our WB on cloudy to bring up more colors so when processing in RAW you don't have to adjust the WB as much. We were waiting for the twilight but the sun fell down on a big cloud and that was pretty much it.

    Some pretty cool stuff, Tom.

I like numbers 4, 6 & 7 most. Post storm skies are the best, aren't they? Also like the abstract you made of the building lines and the perspective, comp & sky of the "Forced Perspective" image.

    Nicely done.
    Thanks for sharing.

I really like #5. The diverging lines grab your eyes and drag them right to the fork in the road!clap.gif I don't quite get the focus in #2 though. Nice work!

I'm starting to wonder about no. 2 myself, the focus was at the edge of the little shelf in the foreground.

Some didn't like the slight tilt on no. 5, so I corrected it and I think it looks better. Here it is.

    Great Stuff
Terrific series! Some of the best shots of the Getty.

I love the dramatic angled shots of the railing and the abstract look
    of the stone walls.

Well done photos. I like the appeal in the #4 abstract and the way you lined up the freeway with the handrail #5. Your other images are equally nice. thumb.gif
