    Hi Andi
Voted for #4 which is nice but I wish the angle was a bit lower and that we didn't lose the head in the shadows (no pun intended).

Oh, jeez! Looks like a toss up between 1 and 3. I hope it's because they are both good!

    Hmmm, decisions, decisions...

Thanks SO much, everyone! I'm hoping to be around for the next few contests... It's been way too crazy for me to even think about.

    Thanks again!

    I like #3 the best.

Have you tried a horizontal crop of just the bottom 1/3 or so, which would have leading lines from all corner areas to the child in the street?

I actually have, but I just love the clouds at the top.... Any thoughts on that?

I like it, but felt this had more punch or interest....

Nice to see you again, Andi! :D I think I like 1 and 3 the best too, although I do love the hair halo and body position in #4 (but I prefer the shadow position in #3). I love the rain drop detail in #1, as well as the bit of window pane and the way the light rims the hand. Good luck!

    EDIT: I love the clouds!

Just a suggestion but if you like the horizontal crop couldn't you move the clouds down in the frame? or would that take away the effect?

    Peace, gail

You mean, actually open PS and edit it?!? Me? Laughing.gif!

I'm usually a purist, but I may just try it! Great idea!

Thanks! (And of course you're welcome to vote!)

Oooo "Longing" definently captured me...the shadows, lighting, and grayscales ...

#3 for me. Wow! Is that a rainbow in on the left in the clouds?

I say number 4, as it has some motion, or direction to it, and the emphasis is right on the play between light and shadow. Unless, of course, you're trying to go for the mood of the first one...

I think 1 is really good, but I can't help but feel I have seen it before in these challenges... just seems very familiar... I picked #3. I also think # 3 fits the theme better.

For me, #4 is delightful. I think if you crop some of the white from the sky it would be even more effective. mwink.gif

#4 all the way. It's the most creative composition. Very striking. Deliciously ambiguous and suggestive, a little haunting, almost scary.
