The hummers were shot with the 70-300 about 7 ft away.

Nope. Just natural flash from the sun. It was straight on them.

Thanks. The warm light is by accident. I had my camera WB set at cloudy from the day before and didn't change it. I thought of correcting post processing but I like the warmer colors too.
