Great capture! The Great Egret I was shooting yesterday was no where near as graceful as that. At one stage it flew about 30 meters, then more or less nose-dive/crash-landed into the water! Legs too long rolleyes1.gif Very ungainly.

Hi Ric.. Nice shots of the landing. We had a single pair here last fall that hung around for about a month or more. It was really something to watch them fish together. And very graceful for such a large bird. I read up on them, quite an interesting story on their threatened existence.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Nice capture Ric! thumb.gif The white pelicans will scoop up fish while in the water, whereas the brown pelicans will do the nose dive.

Take the scenic route. Life is too short to do otherwise.
