Hope this belongs here.
I'm creating a business identity.
With this identity, do I need to have a "www" in from of my url? I NEVER type in www and can navigate to any site (unless it's https).
i.e. If I want to go to gmail, I just type in "gmail.com" I never type in the "www".
Is there ANY reason I should include this "www" onto my business identity guidelines?
Thanks for your knowledge on this.

I think you can safely assume 99.9999% percent of people understand "WWW" is a given in any URL address.
I've actually heard a funny bit on the radio from a guy who laments the constant iteration of WWW in ads and announcements. It's very funny and proves a point that it just isn't necessary.
Look at advertising for just about any retailer and you'll see they always omit it.

I agree about the percentage. I was asking from the tech perspective to make sure I wasn't shutting doors on anyone.
I've come to realize that I should never assume anyone understands anything and KISS (keep it simple stupid!)
This answered my question though.
Thanks again.

I understood your point... and I still think most people understand if they need to type in the www or not, based on their system... and that's regardless of whether you include the www in your collateral.
