LPS#13 Does This Hit the Theme Strong Enough?

I happened to be in Yosemite the day LPS13 was announced and didn't even find out the topic until I returned. Is this a strong enough representation for shadow??

My opinion is that you should save this skill for the semi-final, but it's not strong on the theme, especially compared to many others I see in the entry thread.

The tree's shadow doesn't draw my eye. Now if there were a shadow from the mountain, or the clouds on the mountain... Lovely picture though!
