    ps. FWIW...If this was my pic, I'd probably crop off the bottom and give it a landscape orientation. Love the shallow DOF you got (I'm sooo jealous, my digicam can't get that same look...sigh!)

    excellent capture Gubbs. just what it should be. and with respect to NEE I like this framing. IMHO it supports the idea that this is a tree.

    Nee, you really should try a macro lens on your 828. It helps you creating shots with a shallow DOF of flowers etc. Not a universal DOF solution, and not the same control over DOF as with a DSLR, but it might help nevertheless.
