I charge a minimal amount for some downloads but when I put in $.00 in the low res price it makes it unavailable for download. Is there a workaround?

Thanks

Have you tried setting the price to 1 cent?

I don't think you can use the digital download system for free downloads (I've thought about this too). You could, however allow your users to download the small, medium or large sizes by customizing your site to add a download button that just kicks off a download of the currently displayed xxxxx-S.jpg, xxxxx-M.jpg or xxxxx-L.jpg image. Of course, you could just tell your customers that they could use right click, save to do the same thing.
