Did a portfolio shoot the other day for a nice girl. Great day for photo-opping, lots of clouds in the afternoon and the location made some great shadowing. Not sure if this fits the theme best, so I'd like your opinion on whether any of these do fit the light/shadow theme and which one does it best?

    Whewww --- Mercy

What was the question again? headscratch.gif

Edit: Just looked at your site. You definitely know what to do with lights, reflectors & a model. Very nice work. thumb.gif

Maybe someday I can understand lights and posing that well.

I have to agree! I think you know exactly what you're doing, good luck!

Awesome shots, awesome model. Great job!

For the theme, I would say #2 or #4. Neither are super strong on theme, but are such highly stylized images and so different to what we typically see here, I think they are definitely worth entering. #2 is my overall favorite, but any of them with a clever title to fit it in better with the theme would be a fantastic entry.

    Best of luck,

I think #1 hits the theme strongest. Nice set of images.

Hmmmm...going back over these, #1 IS an extremely strong image. Not sure about strong on theme (unless you're counting the crotch shadow???), but it is an awesome shot too.

I've been looking at your site as well. Fantastic stuff.

I would go with number 1 playing off the lighthouse for theme relationship and call it something like "A sailor's safety or distruction"... Just my thoughts for what it's worth... great shots!

I looked at these and thought, wow I bet she is cold!

Great work, I think #2 is the best for shadow but I could see #1 on light.

Hmm, I was thinking I'd go with #1 as well. I like the lighting and shadowing of it the best, but I think you guys are right that it isn't the strongest representation of the theme. Still, it's such a broad topic, anything can really fall into this category.

I was considering naming it Ryan and the Dark Tower. The model's name is Ryan, which is a little odd for a woman, but it can be my tribute to Robert Browning's Childe Roland to the Dark Tower.

quark, well up in the tower, it was definitely windy but mildly
warm. she didn't actually get cold until we went swimwear for the sunset. the water was pretty chilly and i had her dipping in and out for about an hour. poor thing.
