    Looks good, did you do this same test w/ another body that you can compare to?

    i've struggled with the first 40D and too much contrast, and also focus issues with birds afar. Second copy better. I may calibrate my 300f4 to the 40D. But not sure if it isn't just a focus area too small for the 9 focus points or not.

    Yesterday I got some beautiful bird shots, and did get some larger focal point areas like surfing and your dog, so slowly i'm figuring it out.

    When the 40D has a right on focus, it's stunning, I agree.
