    thanks Al...yes...bigma & some flash because of the shade & backlight.

    I only had the bigma cause I was looking for birds, but it works pretty good on stuff like this.thumb.gif

    Wow! What color and in the last pic, the wing is actually transparent enough to see the shadow of the petals in the flower behind the monarch! Great images.
