I accidentally overexposed these daisies and then shored up the black using levels, and I got this great effect, but I haven't been able to reproduce it since. Any ideas, suggestions, opinions?

What photo editor do you use? I may be able to help get the effect if you are using PS. I do something similar on a regular basis, but also add more to the border to help draw the interest into the shot.

P.S. Very cool shot. I bet this would look great printed & framed on a wall :D

Do you have a shot in mind where you want this look? I can use it as an example.

I guess I would just want to be able to do more of the same, high foreground /background contrast with flora in the foreground...

I won't be able to show you w/o a sample. I'm not a flower guy, so I have zero pictures like this.

How about this? Or if you have something that would work as a stand in that would be great, i'm very familiar with PS (used to do digital retouch for a living) so you can talk about specifics and I'll get it.
