Beautiful eyes, like your other children. And oh that smile!! What a cutie. Oh, and the lighting is nice too. I do like the results you get with the "garage lighting"!
BTW, how old is Samantha now? Twoish? Seems like she was born yesterday.

Virginia, she is now 2 and 1/2. I can't believe it myself. Wasn't I just posting her newborn photos?
Aside from an adorable subject the lighing and composition are perfect.
What kind of "garage" lighting are you using?
Kathy, thanks for looking. Garage lighting is just that. Portraits taken inside a garage with the door open. The large opening with indirect light produces a pleasing softbox effect. I've added a reflector on the floor for some shots of my other children.
A bit of an unforeseen problem with these shots. When shooting down and having her look up at me, she is lit from below which produces a bit of a ghostly look to the lighting.
I don't think this pose is well-suited in the garage unless you can place a reflector above the model.
I like your photos, Mitch.
Beautiful model!
If you want C&C, here it is:
All of you portraits are taken en face.
She has fantastic eyes.
At the same time her face looks a bit 'wide' on these photos.
What about taking some 3/4 turn photos?
I always love seeing shots of Samantha but think Yuri may be on to something. The lighting is stunning but there is just something missing in these shots compared to the series with your other two children. I wish I could be more help but I do think the angles have something to do with it. There's a lot of "neck" in them.
And, at the same time, I also know how much of a challenge it is to get a 2.5 year old to SIT STILL!!! So, you will probably have better luck with the older ones in a studio setting until she gets a little older, I would imagine! I struggle with this daily!
