The first shoot is ok but you lost soem of the details in the dark feathers. An EV ahjustment of a + value might have helped here. Looks like the camera metered for the lighter sky. Also the sky area is a tad noisy. I would have selected it and ran a noise reduction program just on the sky area.
The second shot is interesting. You got a Great Egret, White Ibis, and a Snowy Egret. You losy some detail in the two smaller guys and a lot of detail in the Great Egret due to over exposure. I would have gone with a greater -EV adjustment
