I just wanted to say that I'm done with research, comparison charts, and reviews for now.

I finally pulled the trigger and threw down some cash and ordered the 24-70!! It will be here Wednesday. :barb

I'm now in the L club.

Wow!! I notice that I do not have to do near as much post processing when using this lens.

I've been bitten by the L bug.

I just bought the 24-105mm 4L. I have had a 70-200 2.8L and a 300 4L for a while and super happy..but this lens is so cool for walk about, from experience is the 24-70 2.8 even better?

No, just a bit faster than the 24-105. Both are excellent.

Depends on your definition of "better" mwink.gif For my needs, the 24-70 is quite definitely better than the 24-105, but for others' it might be the reverse.

I had a 28-105 f3.5/4.5 II. Not that many shots were past 85mm. I found myself needing more light than reach. That is why I went with the 24-70. No regrets.
