Finally got a chance to do some shooting at the L.A. River on a saturday.
There was a little more action than usual going on,
especially among a pair of Glossy Ibises and a few lazy Egrets
who consistently tried to wrestle away anything the Ibises caught.

Fish says to Ibis: "Baby, I'm yours" :lust

Egret says: not so fast buddy!

Solution: eat while running :D

I hope crayfish taste better than they look

Russ, these are awesome captures. They show behavioral actions but at the same time are incredibly well done. Very nice detail in all of the pics!

Really nice Russ, I hope you don't mind the correction, I found out that those Ibis are white faced Ibis not glossy ibis, sorry I missed you on Saturday.

I went up North to photograph sea otters this weekend, I looking forward to sharing, we were very productive, I shot 10 2MB cards :D

Truly wonderful series... Sharp, telling a story, it is all there for me...
Feel a bit sad for the fish though, but hey, such is life. To eat or be eaten...
    Well done!

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Thanks Steve, for your compliment and the correction.
After consulting my guide more closely I realized that the Glossy is more common in the eastern region of the states.
Seems like you had a productive weekend: 20 GB wortheek7.gif
BTW, I got these shots alongside your buddy Henry, nice guy
    Looking forward to your post

Boy, I'm so glad I'm not the fish,
it's bad enough being eaten alive but having the agony prolonged
by competing diners is a bit much:cry :D Thanks for commenting
