Most of the experienced shooters here have said that at one time or another. It is true, glass before body. thumb.gif

The 28-135mm Is Is A Nice Lens...
Many folks want to knock it but, this lens produces good imagery and I love the focal range.

Eventually you may want to add a wider lens and the Tokina 12-24mm f/4 lens dovetails with the 28-135mm IS lens very nicely. Another consideration - not as wide but, less expensive; is the 20mm f/2.8 Canon prime. The 20mm primes are available used on eBay relatively inexpensively. The 32mm equivalent makes it a nice indoor lens - especially when using flash.

One final thought, I use a generic metal screw-in lens hood rather than the optional (and more expensive Canon hood). I like the screw-in model because I can easily use it with a polarizing filter since I can rotate the entire hood.

I use an OPTECH Hood Hat instead of the Canon lens hood. I carry and store the camera/lens with the lens hood on and the neoprene Hood Hat covering the end. It makes getting the lens in action very fast and really protects it from damage.

Thank you for the added advice I'll keep that in mind.
