I have 2 diff ones coming and was just wondering how all the Bluetooth stuff works?
Also can it be used to show/carry photo's?

I have a Palm TX I got for next to nothing and need a OEM CD if anyone can help?
All I got with it is a USB cable and the unit don't power up.
I have a AC charger coming to see if it even charge up.
IF it works.....looks like the cats meow for a PDA!
Anyone have one of these?

New gadget venture lotsa questions! :dunno :D

OEM CD? Did you try the Palm web site for the drivers and software?

It says something about having OEM CD or some things might not sync with Desktop 4.1.4E ne_nau.gif

I didn't see anything about OEM CD stuff for DL.

"If you haven't installed the software from your CD, do so now. Additional conduits and applications are included on the CD, such as photo and video conduits, Documents To Go, eReader, or games. If you don't have the CD, you can install the version on this page, but you may be unable to sync some items."

The OEM CD might have a few more programs (e.g) Documents To Go), but you should be able to use the device without it. The main software allows you to synch the device to the PC. Do you have anything important on the TX? I would just install the software...

Got it at a garage sale for like $10!!
It came with nothing but the USB cord so dunno if it even works.
Won't power up but batt might be totally dead?
I have a AC Power supply/Charger coming so I won't know anymore till I get that.
No idea what's on it at this point....looks like new tho...not a mark on it.
IF it works I got a hellova deal...if not they still go for at least $50 dead on ebay.

The USB cable will give a "trickle charge" which, in most cases, will charge the battery. With a dead battery, it's not so certain, but certainly worth a try. I would hook it up to the USB and see if it charges after 24 hours. If not, try again when the charger arrives.

Regarding the OEM CD, I don't think it matters. I am using Palm Desktop version 4.2 with my TX. As already noted by others, you can download the necessary software from the Palm webpage.

My Tungsten E2 has Bluetooth. I mated it to my cell phone and if I want to dial a phone # that's in the Palm but not the phone I can do so with one click.

Palm's website says, "With Bluetooth wireless technology, you can transfer information wirelessly between your Palm TX handheld and compatible devices nearby, like computers, mobile phones, and other handhelds. When you're away from a Wi-Fi hotspot, connect with a Bluetooth mobile phone to browse the web, send email, and more—all without a cable. It's a world without wires."

There's a sync conduit called "media" so you can keep photos in the PDA. I don't use it as a hard drive to store large file size stuff I've shot, but after resizing images to a more manageable size I have them instead of a wallet full of dog-eared snapshots.

Each handheld has a "name." If your three units have different names, you can easily sync them all to the same desktop. My wife & I do this at home.

If you want them to have identical data -- the same name -- you have to sync one with the conduits set to "synchronize," and then sync the other two with the conduits set to "desktop overrides handheld," the first time you do it.

Bear in mind that different handhelds have different names for features that seem the same. Datebook & Calendar come to mind immediately.
