I shot a game in Limon Colorado last week. Here are a few I liked. Comments greatly appreciated.

it's not the size of the lens that matters... It's how you focus it.

    I really liked # 2 and 3.

But man, I am sorry for you! those uniforms must have been tough to focus on! I set my WB before the game (my 1st game) and they had white shirts! :)

    What was your gear?
    Body: Canon 1D Mark II N | Canon 30D w/BG-E2 Flash: Canon 580EX II | Quantum T4d | Strobes & Monolights
    Glass: Sigma 70-200 f2.8 | Sigma 20 f1.8 | Canon 28-135 f3.5-5.6 IS USM

I think that face you caught in #1 must be why you liked that one too! That's a great shot. I like them all, maybe because I have just tried my hand at this sport indoors as well. Nice work.

I actually didn't have much trouble with the focus. I shot with a D200 and an 85mm f1.4. Settings were ISO 800 (pretty good light), f1.4 1/320, WB set with expo disc at each vantage point.

Thanks, The expression in #1 seemed to be a common thing as I have a couple more with the same look. It was the primary reason I chose it though.
