Hi Everyone,

Here a few shots of a Great Egret I shot yesterday.
It was almost 9 am when I took this moon shot with my 500mm
while waiting for the birds to wake up (but I wasn't bored or anything, LOL).

I was surprised it came out so visible because the sun was already blazing away.

Hope you like them. Comments are welcome.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Mike, Russ, Stephen, Jeff, DaddyO, Aaron, Dave and Harry..

Thanks again for your comments. As I mentioned before, I've been trying to get close to this guy for months. It is probably the most skiddish bird on the lake.. But I fooled him the other day (Ha, right, he says). Anyway for some reason he finally came close. He didn't hang around long, just long enough to get a few good shots.

Very nice set Chris, really liked the moon shot. The Egrets shots you did well with holding the exposure on them.

Thanks for the comment Louie. I got a handle on the exposure last week when about 6 Snowys were here for a day or so and let me photo them all day long. I have been experimenting with Spot Metering and ++ exposure settings and it seems to be working out pretty good for the Snowys and Greats Egrets. They are tough though especially since these were morning shots and the sun was wickedly glaring.

Nice set Chris! thumb.gif The moon really did come out well - I've tried daylight moons a couple of times, but have never been happy with the result.

Hi Al, Thanks for your comment. I got lucky because the day before we had a good rain. Normally we have no smog or haze up here plus with the rain clearing all the other junk out of the atmosphere it was a nice clear morning.
