    Hey Harry.. These shots are wonderful. How in the world did you get that mirror under those birds without them flying off. I've seen some calm days but "man" that is calm.

    Is that last shot a Cormorant. Looks like it but around here they have a big hook on the end of their beaks. You captured it perfectly.. but you missed him licking his lips afterwards, Laughing.gif.

    Thanks Ric. I was really happy with taht shot because that anhinga was just about completely backlit. I took around 25 shots and maybe two were decent.

    Wow, beautiful images
    I really like the first and last one best! I saw and caputred my first rosette spoonbill last month out at the Merritt Island Wildlife Refuge. But I didnt capture any thing close to yours.

    I would say the last shot was 100% back lit --anytime that BL word and a great capture come together it is a pain in the a-- nice save tho thumb.gif very nice ref. shots clap.gif

    Thanks, glad you liked them. Spoonies are best shot in the subdued lighting of early morning or late afternoon. The harsh light of mid-day washes out their colors.

    He was extremely backlit. I have several shots of Anhingas with their catches and they manage to be backlit everytime.

    OH, there were eagles Ben but I didn't want to make you feel bad so I passed on the eagle shots. I figured it wasn't fair with me having so many and you having none. rolleyes1.gif
