Our family's summer vacation this year was a week in Manhattan. I almost posted these images in the Travels/Journeys section because of the large number of shots. I posted here because all of the images are some sort of portrait. The subjects are all my family. Most of these images are, more or less, shots of "opportunity" with little time to set up. I've seen the high quality of work posted here on DGrin and I'm hoping to learn from others. These are the best family shots out of 6 days worth of trying. Comments are appreciated. Critique one or critique all. How did I do?

I liked 2, 10, 14 & 16 because they have both interesting composition, and do not 'appear' to be so posed. Likewise, #1 also -- nice wide shot with street context.

we were in the city a few weeks ago and also went the the Guggenheim. That curtain was amazing!! I must of walked around it a hundred times. I have a very similar picture of myself there. Thanks for sharing. Nice looking family!:D
