Shot this on the way to work this morning. I'm wondering if it would look better if the depth of field wasn't so shallow?

Suggestions welcomed...

well I assumed it was a heavily overcast, grey rainy day... the heavy raindrops on the petals suggest or support that so I like it as is. Nice! thumb.gif

I like the first one. the shallow DOF is perfect... however, it does look a tad overexposed. Was it RAW, can it be brought down a bit?

Yeah, I always shoot Raw, I like to noodle... I compressed it too much and it blew out the richness of the branches, I'll try pulling it back a little and see what happens. Thanks...

It's not even the branches - they actually look very cool so soft and blown out in the back. A nice kind of ethereal framework so the flower isn't just floating. I just want the edges of the flower to be more crisp. Maybe develop it again and just overlay the less exposed results over this one, then just mask the branches so only the flower is more defined.
