Since I got my 100-400mm L, last may, I have been waiting to get a decent shot of this bird. I have often seen them but not had my camera at hand, or other times they were just to far away for me to get a decent shot. Today was refreshing, as I finally got some good shots! I almost did not go to the nature preserve today but I'm glad I did :barb Enjoy

Great series. They are one of most favorite hawks to capture (probably because they are so common). However, they are very handsome. I just wish they weren't so skittish.
