I don't have anything to add to the links that Caroline has provided, and I know that you didn't ask for feedback on your site, but...

I wandered over to your site, and I find that your navbar entries are so dark that they almost disappear into the background. They are easily visible in "hover" state, but the default color of black text against a dark gray background isn't working for me. I'd recommend changing at least the text color.
