October 1 marks the beginning of Fire Season in Australia. Our local ratbags decided to celebrate by lighting seven fires which became one major fire. One house was lost on the first day and a couple were damaged, as well as 2500 hectares of forest.

This first picture actually appeared in 3 National papers, thanks to me having my camera on the fire truck and the media turning up late :)

Good on those guys for their work! I was watching the news pretty closely last week as that first big round of fires ripped through NSW (thanks to the little punks rolleyes1.gif)
