multiple homepages, and hiding categories on specific homepage only

Hello All,

My problem is that I would like to have a slideshow homepage, a galleries2006 homepage, a galleries2007 homepage and eventually a galleries2008 page.

I can't change the format of my categories>sub-categories>galleries, as this system is working ideal for me. I have 90 categories and 543 galleries with approx. 200 sub categories

I understand how to make multiple homepages, and have already done so. With having 3 years of photos, I do not know how to show certain categories (2006) on the galleries2006 homepage only. I also know how to use the delete category method, but not how to use it on certain homepages. I do not believe private galleries will work, and I have searched for a method to figure this out on my own, but to no avail.

If I was to do it I would create a page for each year page like this. It would
be just a matter of adding more rows and inserting category links and
representative thumbs. After done only the new ones one be added.

Your galleries link could be another landing page with the years as picks.

It works perfectly, I even have random thumbnails. My only problem is I have 92 galleries to sort, so I should be done after cutting and pasting all day. I really like the way your website has those tutorials. I appreciate it.

Hi there,
How do you change this to have random thumbnails? Also, can I get rid of the Montesa > Portraits > Portraiture part? Is there something in my css that is interferring with the no breadcrumbs part of your code?

Here's a link to the wiki page that shows how to get random photos - http://smugmug.jot.com/WikiHome/Feeds/RandomPhotos. I use these on both my Kaleidoscope page and my Gallery page, and I often use them when I post a link to a gallery on my blog.
