I haven't dabbled in the LPS contests, more for lack of time than anything else. However, we spent Saturday at the beach on Cape Cod and it really fit the theme so I thought I'd have a go.

I'd love to hear your thoughts on some or all of these shots -

I like Plugging the Dyke for this comp with Warn Seawall a close second. Great shots!

I love #1, but "Plugging the Dyke" totally gets my vote for it's comp, application to theme, and the wonderful storytelling.

    Best of luck!

Love "Beyond the Breakwater"....very craggy!! Nice Photo..nice contrast, pov, I just wanna walk on those rocks!!
Looks slightly tilted I would tilt about -1 CCW and then I would crop in just a tad from the right..that would clean up that one piece of straggler dark rock...
You're only as good as your next photo....

I agree with Paul. The Comp of "plugging the dyke" is great, as well as the story. The seawall is definately a close second. I like the texture, but it lacks the story that "plugging the dyke" has.
    Good Luck!

Ooh, you are right - I kept playing with these in post and I must've gotten rid of the rotate adjustment by mistake. Thanks!

Thanks everyone, I think I'll use Plugging the Dyke for my entry. Not sure what my 6 year old was doing in there, but he was having fun!
