A feathered family

This is a family of tawny frog mouth taken a couple of days after the young began flying. They were sitting about 4 ft above the ground only a short distance from their nesting site.
PS Not easy to find!!

    Yes -- the hardest part is finding them. Fortunately for me the owner of the land locates them every morning before 6am and he let me know where they were. Good mate.

    Great shot clap.gif They are beautiful birds, and I always love seeing pics of them. The real thing is even more amazing though! Such gentle looking things.

    Very unique species. I have seen pictures of these guys before and it sill amazes me to see how well they blend in to the environment.

    Incredible!! Boy, the stuff you learn here at DGrin. :D How large were these adults in the picture? After reading more about them, they can be fairly large birds. (9-21").
