Cosmos Flowers
Went to a park in the north of Hiroshima Prefecture last weekend, where there were around 1.5 million cosmos flowers in full bloom (so their website says!) Here are a few pics. Any comments welcome.

No, I did not do any selective blurring on that shot.

A little less sky on that second one would help, IMO.

Great shots. 4 & 7 are my favorites.

Thank you Patricia. Yes the red dragonflies here are a sign of autumn. They are beautiful little creatures. There were thousands of the yellow cosmos there. It was quite amazing. They are a common enough colour here in Japan.

Thanks Ric. Yes, it seems quite hard for them not to bloom prolifically!

Thanks Jeff. The colours of the cosmos just really lent themselves to that shot I think. I have tried before with other flowers to varying degrees of success.

Yeah...HDR is generally achieved post processing with a lot of shots. Once can get a dramatic effect when used in the right settings. Not all picures need HDR, and sometimes people do it so it does not add at all. Then, there are those that really shine with HDR..
