This assignment turned out to be a lot more fun than I thought it would be.

Here's your photo assignment for this weekend: Triangles.

    • Photos must be fresh - taken this weekend, not stuff you've got hanging around on your computer.
    • Triangles means the primary focal point of your image should include at least one triangle.
    Have at it.
I have returned - and brought some triangles for Fish - they will have a South West flavor - First is from the John Dunne bridge across the Rio Grande

    Voila - triangles.........

    And another ........2848047-L.jpg

The triangle MUST be in the PRIMARY focal point of the image - not just a triangle somewhere in the image - if just any triangle would work then this image might qualify.... there are triangles in there somewhere, but not as the primary focal point2848980-L.jpg

These dish pics were shot with the little Tamron Di 28-75 - not bad for a non-Canon lens, eh?

But like Wings said - Who cares what Fish says? - so here is one for Wings.....lickout.gif

This one required L glass of course.......

As for new stuff, didn't get anything good. I did finally get my tripod though, so i took all sorts of silly long exposure shots in my dark living room.

One triangle out of the bunch:
    2004-03-12.jpg

so if this was homework i'd get a "check minus", completed but with minimal effort.

    Fishy,

That 10d does a great job.

You know I've worked in the electrical power industry for 30 years and have never seen anything like that. It surly must keep the "eco terrorists" out of these "trees."

Ditto...if they knew a bit about the crap then they would find something else to climb thats for sure. That canon does take a nice photo. I will buy one eventually.

Yeah, it's a sweet machine. Did you get yours yet? I took that shot with the Tamron 28-75/2.8, btw (thanks pathfinder).

Really? I'll try to head out there and take some "big picture" shots. All of the towers have them. They look razor sharp. I imagine they'd be tough to handle even with gloves. Makes me wonder how the PG&E guys get up onto them. I'll have to go check it out.

I dunno. Ours are pretty close together. I've never seen a chopper used here. They may use them in the more remote areas, but this is suburbia. In fact, I think I saw a ladder up the inside, but I'm not sure. I need to go check it out again. Pics tomorrow, if I get a chance.

Here is one more triangle from this weekend. Seeing as how the gate angle is in focus and the barn not, does that make the gate my primary subject? ear.gif
