    Dear Ed,

Skippy and I passed through Dublin and Pleasanton on Sunday (Tri-valley area of the bay area) And I was tryng to find a place for you to shoot.
And skippy said that it's looks a bit like Oz -- dead brown/yellow grass with some trees. It's basically an inland valley.

I suggest something on a ridge, on a hiking trail,

or The sunset againt the windfarms at the Altamont Pass Wind Farm a little beyond Livermore.

You could try the Altamont pass (HWY 580 east) Greenville Rd. or Patterson Pass Rd oing east. This will take you through the hills and the wind farm. If it is not overcast you could get some great skyline shots with windmills and live stock. It is starting to green up now. Only 40 minutes from san fran also.

I know it is a little late but up at mount diablo state park you get quite a panarama of the whole area for 100s of miles
