A Humbling Experience..

Hi Everyone,
I wasn't going to go out the other day because we had 40-50 mph wind gusts but I loaded up and went anyway. Not much moving because of the wind until this guy showed up. He played in the strong winds and used them to his every advantage.
I have seen him (her) in the area before but today he stayed and played for a while, teasing the ducks and water birds with constant dives and passes.
I read where the Peregrine Falcon can dive at 200 mph and now I believe it. I watched as he dove, climbed and turned on a dime at full speed.. ending just inches off the water while missing the scattering birds by what seemed like fractions of an inch. Incredible to watch is an understatement, he had me twisted in knots trying to keep up with his amazing agility but it was a useless effort (as you notice there are no diving shots, LOL).
The sun wasn't in the best position because it was early afternoon but I got a couple of good shots. I am posting quite a few to show the different wing and body positions to give an idea just what it was like trying to track this beautiful bird as he maneuvered at full speed.. a very humbling experience for a birds in flight shooter.

Hi Dave, Thanks for viewing. I kept looking at these before I posted them thinking they looked soft or a bit OOF but the colors of the P. Falcon are sort of odd, a touch of orange on the belly and a very soft gray on top and wings. If you touch the saturation and it looks black.. which it isn't.
