Proof order - Problem replacing photos

I am trying to replace photos on order number 404787. I have resized the photos to 5x7 and/or 8x10 but the photos are not being replaced. There is one photo my client order a 5x7 and an 8x10 of, but when I replace one it replaces both with the same size. Please help.
Thanks,
Kathi

You only get ONE master image per photo that is used for all print sizes that are ordered from a given image. You can't upload both a 5x7 crop and an 8x10 crop. The last one you upload is the ONE that will be there.
The whole system is easier than you are making it out to be. You should upload the maximum quality that you have and don't worry about what size it is labeled. The customer then orders a 5x7 and and 8x10. Since neither of those sizes will probably match the aspect ratio of your image exactly, the customer specifies a crop to match each photo size.
Then, you get told that there's an order for proof delay. At this point, you have two things you can do:
1) You can decide that you'd like to improve the master image (do some post processing on it and then reupload).
2) You can tweak the crops that define exactly which part of the image will show in the 5x7 and the 8x10 (each has it's own crop).
I routinely check every crop on proof delay because many customers either don't pay attention to the crop or don't understand what they are supposed to do. I frequently tweak the crop.
Notice that nowhere in this workflow are you supposed to resize to 5x7 or 8x10 and re-upload. When you do that, you are replacing your original from which all future prints are ordered. If you downsize it enough for those sizes, you will even make it that future enlargements can't be ordered because the original will not be a high enough resolution for those enlargements. Don't resize. Just leave full resolution images in Smugmug and tweak the crop in the order form.
