Question about Domain name and SM

I haven't realy used my SM account for anything for a while, but I would like to start.
My problem is typing mthphoto.com send you to the godady park page while www.mthphoto.com takes you to my SM account. For a time I was taking up space on someones server so the http://mthphoto.com would be directed to SM, but that ended.
I called godaddy with the thought of getting a small web hosting account then redirect to SM. The tech guy over there didn't think that was the best way to go. So I went over the instructions for setting up SM with godaddy to see if I missed something.
What do I need to do to get http://mthphoto.com and www.mthphoto.com to both go to SM.
Thanks for all your help.

Andy,
When I go to that link it sure sounds like either/or. "If you just want your web address to be http://yourdomain.com" instead of something like http://www.yourdomain.com.
I just want to make sure I am not trading one for the other.
