My wife and I took our grandson for a walk through the park, my wife looked at me and asked whats that over there, I looked over to wear she was pointing, to my amazement and joy these images are what she was looking at.

I think this is a Coopers Hawk, all of these images are captured with a 70-200 2.8 IS 1DMK3

Thanks Jeff for the I.D. I wasn't sure if it were a young redtail or coopers, he was standing his ground.

1st time seeing this and getting this close was an amazing guilt ridden experience.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

He just jumped on that squirrel right before we got there, didn't start eating on it until I had my camera ready to go, thanks Harry

Thanks so much, I hate to admit this, I was aprox 15 ft, I was pushing my luck for full frame after the 1st 10 shots, I just kept inching forward until I was that close.

I had mixed emmotions the whole time, I knew in my mind I was in this birds space, I took advantage of his tolerance towards me, after I got my shots I left him in peace to finish his lunch
