    Hi Connie, Welcome to the forum. I like your hawk photos. I have watched the Harriers and Cooper hawks around here sitting in the high grass for over an hour at a time. At first I thought they had caught something but after watching them over time I saw how they like to land in the grass and just stay there watching everything from ground level ? thumb.gif

    Thanks! He was just sitting there waiting to play "Wack-A-Mole" or gopher as it were. There was a 5' circle of hole.

    I was also lucky to go on a capture for someone who had gotten their licenses to own a red-tail.

    BTW she (the hawk) turned out to be a bit too much and was released a week later.
